ESG as a tool for transforming banking strategies and investment decisions in the Republic of Uzbekistan

This article analyzes the introduction and implementation of ESG principles in the financial market of Uzbekistan in the context of the transition to a market economy, as well as in the period of globalization and integration into the world economy. The main goal and objective of the study is to identify key areas for the implementation of the ESG system in the Republic of Uzbekistan and assess the degree of involvement of the country's banks in the field of green financing. The article substantiates that the application of ESG principles affects the attractiveness of the company for customers and investors, and their non-compliance can lead to reputational and financial losses. The research work covers various methods for analyzing state and market instruments and mechanisms of green financing in foreign countries. The key element of the study is the use of both qualitative and quantitative analysis aimed at identifying the optimal and most effective ways to develop green financing in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
