The role and importance of the «green» economy potential in increasing the sustainability of cities in the Republic of Uzbekistan

Abstract

This article examines the role and importance of the green economy potential in ensuring the sustainable development of cities in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The article provides an analysis of the current state of environmentally friendly transport, renewable energy sources, landscaping and waste recycling. In addition, the work identifies the problems and challenges, as well as the main trends that cities in the country face in the transition to a green economy. In conclusion, practical recommendations are offered for the development of a green economy, including the introduction of environmentally friendly transport and improvement of the waste recycling system, measures for accelerated industrial modernization.
